Forged student leave requests via missing CSRF validation
Published Apr 8, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Web-School ERP 5.0 allows remote attackers to create student leave applications through a crafted POST request. The module/core/studentleaveapplication/create endpoint accepts state-changing Guardian requests without validating a CSRF token. Exploitation requires a Guardian user with an active session to visit attacker-controlled content, which submits dates and a reason as that user.
