Script execution via unescaped key identifier
Published Aug 18, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in HestiaCP before 1.3.5 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary scripts in an administrator's browser. The admin/list_key.html template writes the key ID from $data directly into HTML; the fix applies htmlspecialchars before rendering it. A victim must load the affected key listing after the crafted value is present, enabling the script to read or change data available to that web origin.
