Price manipulation via unrestricted token issuance
Published Jan 3, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Missing access control in Seal Finance Farm allows remote attackers to manipulate pool prices by calling the breed function. The externally callable breed function accepts any caller, mints SEAL into the pool, swaps half of the issuance, and adds liquidity at pool-derived rates. No authentication or user interaction is required; crafted swaps around the call distort the exchange rate and extract SEAL from affected liquidity pools.
