Session script execution via unsanitized SBI_HOST
Published Apr 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Knowage Suite before 7.4 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in another user's session via SBI_HOST. The cockpit engine's pages/execute endpoint inserts SBI_HOST into a script element's src path without adequate sanitization, loading attacker-controlled code. A victim must follow a crafted URL; the code then runs in that victim's application session and can perform actions or capture keystrokes.
