Firmware compromise via default Telnet credentials

Default credentials in the Telnet service of SOOTEWAY Wi-Fi Range Extender 1.5 allow remote attackers to gain administrative access. The device exposes Telnet on TCP port 23 and accepts the factory-set admin:admin credentials rather than a device-specific secret. Reachability to port 23 is sufficient while the default credentials remain active; firmware erasure renders the device unusable, while read or write access compromises its contents.
