User-assisted HSTS bypass via partition-key omission
Published Aug 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
HSTS enforcement bypass in Mozilla Firefox before 90 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to induce acceptance of invalid TLS certificates. The certificate-error page checks HSTS state with origin attributes that omit the partition key, so it falsely offers an override while the network layer still upgrades HTTP to HTTPS. Exploitation requires network partitioning, an invalid certificate on an HSTS-protected domain, and user acceptance; it does not disable HTTPS upgrading.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
