CVE-2021-29906

API-key hash disclosure via Pod definition

Published Oct 8, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Information disclosure in IBM App Connect Enterprise Certified Container 1.0 through 1.5 allows local users to read an IBM Cloud API-key hash. An Integration Server places the hash of its IBM Cloud API key in that server's Pod definition instead of keeping it outside exposed workload metadata. The hash is present only when the server connects to cloud-based connectors in an IBM App Connect cloud instance, limiting exposure to that configuration.
