Sensitive-data disclosure via missing HSTS enforcement
Published Dec 3, 2024 · Updated Dec 3, 2024
Cleartext transmission in IBM Cognos Controller 11.0.0 and 11.0.1 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to read sensitive data. The product does not properly enable HTTP Strict Transport Security, leaving browser connections without the policy that enforces HTTPS. Exploitation requires a network position from which traffic can be intercepted or redirected; the documented consequence is disclosure, not service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
