CVE-2021-29883Network attack vector

Session-token disclosure via cookies lacking Secure flag

Published Oct 21, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Cookie security weakness in IBM Transformation Extender Advanced 9.0 and 10.0 allows attackers to intercept session tokens over HTTP. The server omits the Secure attribute from authorization-token or session cookies, so a browser can transmit their values over an unencrypted HTTP request. Exploitation requires user interaction with an HTTP link and network visibility of that request; the reported consequence is token confidentiality loss.
