Information disclosure via stale BMC web-port configuration
Published Dec 15, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Information disclosure in IBM Power System S821LC BMC firmware OP825.50 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to read sensitive data. The BMC web-port configuration can remain out of sync with the setting shown in its user interface, leaving port 80 enabled as an insecure channel. Exploitation requires an authenticated user to open the channel and an attacker positioned to intercept its traffic; reported impact is sensitive-information disclosure only.
