CVE-2021-29825Network attack vector

Sensitive-information disclosure through ADMIN_CMD LOAD or BACKUP

Published Sep 16, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Information disclosure in IBM Db2 11.1 and 11.5 allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive data through ADMIN_CMD LOAD or BACKUP. IBM identifies the affected operations and the need to restrict their I/O paths, but does not disclose which code path mishandles input or which data can be exposed. Reachability requires a database connection plus the authority and table privileges needed to invoke the selected administrative command; the reported consequence is read-only disclosure.
