CVE-2021-29822Network attack vector

Authenticated XSS via Web UI script embedding

Published Jul 12, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Cross-site scripting in IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus Web GUI 8.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript in trusted sessions. The Web UI stores or renders user-supplied script without adequate neutralization, so a crafted value executes when another session views the affected content. A low-privilege authenticated user and victim interaction are required; the bounded impact is alteration of page behavior and possible credential disclosure within that trusted session.
