CVE-2021-29765Network attack vector

Platform KeyStore disclosure via FSP service procedures

Published Aug 4, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Information disclosure in IBM PowerVM Hypervisor FW940 and FW950 allows attackers with FSP service access to read Platform KeyStore data. A series of FSP service procedures locates encrypted Platform KeyStore contents and decrypts them without preserving the store's confidentiality. Exploitation requires service access to the FSP and is limited to disclosure of stored data, with no reported ability to modify it or interrupt the system.
