Remote command execution via CSV injection
Published Apr 27, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
IBM Spectrum Scale 5.0.0 through 5.1.0.2 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through CSV injection. The GUI improperly validates CSV fields, allowing attacker-controlled content to be interpreted as commands when CSV data is processed. Exploitation requires a crafted CSV supplied by an attacker and user interaction to open or process it, with command execution occurring on the cluster system.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
