Stored XSS via unescaped Job Title
Published Mar 31, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in CourseMS 2.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in registration pages via a crafted Job Title. The admin/add_jobs.php name parameter stores attacker-supplied markup without effective output encoding, and the payload runs when add_user.php renders the registration page. An Admin account is required to create the Job Title; execution occurs in visitors' browsers and can read or alter data available to those sessions.
