TLS peer impersonation via unchecked allow list
Published Feb 18, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Improper certificate validation in Pexip Infinity Connect before 1.8.0 allows remote attackers to impersonate trusted TLS peers. The client accepts a peer certificate without correctly enforcing its configured allow list, so an unapproved certificate can satisfy the trust decision. Exploitation requires a malicious TLS peer or control of the network path and permits interception or alteration of the protected session.
