CVE-2021-29644Network attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via integer overflow

Published Oct 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Integer overflow in Hitachi JP1/IT Desktop Management 2 Agent 9 through 12 allows remote attackers to execute code via port 31016. Public records identify the remote-control agent and integer overflow, but do not disclose the affected parser, arithmetic operation, or malformed field. Network access to the listening port is sufficient, no authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation executes code with unrestricted OS privileges.
