Heap corruption via unchecked box dimensions
Published May 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in DrawBoundingBoxesV2 in Google TensorFlow allows local users to corrupt heap memory via malformed boxes tensors. The DrawBoundingBoxesOp kernel assumes the boxes tensor's third dimension is four and indexes a fourth coordinate without validating that dimension. Exploitation requires code that can invoke the operation with a crafted tensor; resulting out-of-bounds reads and writes can corrupt the host process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
