Process crash via unsupported ImmutableConst data type
Published May 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Denial of service in Google TensorFlow allows local users to crash a process by invoking tf.raw_ops.ImmutableConst. The ImmutableConstantOp constructor accepts resource or variant dtypes, after which the kernel treats tensor contents as pure scalars and causes a segmentation fault. Exploitation requires local code able to call the raw operation and select its dtype; the documented consequence is limited to termination of the hosting process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
