Account takeover via unescaped stored text fields

Stored XSS in affected XWiki Platform releases before 12.8 allows remote attackers to hijack user sessions through saved text fields. The Old Core object display path renders saved simple-text properties such as Company without escaping HTML metacharacters, so stored script elements execute when a profile is viewed. Anonymous users can populate simple-text fields, while registered users can use profile fields or, with edit rights, App Within Minutes lists; execution requires a victim to view the value and can enable account takeover.
