Authenticated code execution via unsandboxed Twig functions
Published Apr 13, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Server-side template injection in GetGrav Grav before 1.7.11 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code via page front matter. The process.twig directive applies an unsandboxed Twig pass, while the undefined-function callback maps existing PHP functions into callable template functions. Page-creation privileges suffice to enable Twig processing and invoke functions such as system in the web server context.
