Authenticated code execution via forged permission name
Published Apr 13, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Incorrect authorization in GetGrav Grav Admin Plugin 1.10.10 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code. The taskInstallPackage handler concatenates attacker-controlled type data into an admin permission name, so any existing admin permission passes authorization. Access to the web administration panel with admin.login is required; installing a suitable official plugin then executes PHP or system commands on the server.
