CVE-2021-29436Network attack vector

Password change via missing CSRF checks

Published Apr 13, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Cross-site request forgery in Anuko Time Tracker before 1.19.27.5431 allows remote attackers to change a logged-on user's password via a crafted form. The request authorization path lacked the Origin-versus-target validation implemented by ttMitigateCSRF(), allowing cross-site forms to submit unintended actions. Exploitation requires social engineering that causes a logged-on user to activate the attacker-provided form; impact is unauthorized account changes without service interruption.
