Improper access control in MSI Dragon Center 2.0.104.0 allows local users to escalate privileges via the MODAPI.sys IOCTL 0x9c406104 interface. The driver passes user-controlled physical addresses to MmMapIoSpace, mapping physical memory into user-accessible virtual space without restricting the operation. Low-privileged Windows users can invoke the device interface without interaction and potentially obtain kernel-memory read or write capability and SYSTEM-level privileges.
