Path traversal in Gitea's avatar middleware before 1.13.6 allows remote attackers to read files via a crafted URL. The storageHandler function derives an object-store path from RequestURI using prefix-only trimming, without canonicalizing traversal elements before objStore.Open reads the result. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the reported consequence is limited to information disclosure.
