Browser code execution via stored query strings
Published Dec 7, 2021 · Updated Apr 10, 2025
Stored XSS in feature services in Esri ArcGIS Server 10.8.1 and 10.9 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript via crafted queries. Feature services accept attacker-controlled query strings, persist them without adequate output neutralization, and later render them in a user's browser. Unauthenticated access requires an anonymously available service, and execution requires a user to access the stored content; services are not anonymous by default.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
