Information disclosure via crafted-file out-of-bounds read
Published Aug 12, 2022 · Updated Apr 10, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Esri ArcReader 10.8.1 and earlier allows attackers to disclose process memory via a crafted file. The file parser reads beyond the bounds of a memory buffer when handling malformed content; Esri has not identified the affected routine. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted file, and disclosure is limited to information available in the current user's process context.
