Relative path traversal in Esri ArcGIS GeoEvent Server 10.8.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to read arbitrary system files. Esri describes the flaw only as read-only relative path traversal and has not identified the affected endpoint, parameter, or code locus. No user interaction or prior access is required; the reported consequence is read-only disclosure, with no file modification or service interruption.
