CVE-2021-29094Network attack vector

Authenticated code execution via crafted raster files

Published Mar 25, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Buffer overflows in ArcGIS Server 10.8.1 and earlier allow remote authenticated users to execute code through crafted raster files. The image-service and raster-analytics parser copies untrusted raster-file data without adequate bounds checks, corrupting memory during parsing. Exploitation requires specialized permissions and user interaction; successful execution runs in the service account context.
