Stored XSS via unsanitized Site Page name
Published May 17, 2021 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Stored XSS in Liferay Portal 7.3.4 and 7.3.5 and DXP 7.2 and 7.3 allows remote attackers to inject script through a Site Page name. The Layout page administration handler stores the _com_liferay_layout_admin_web_portlet_GroupPagesPortlet_name parameter without neutralizing HTML or JavaScript before rendering it. Execution requires a user to view the affected administration page; the script then runs in that user's browser context and can read or alter page-accessible data.
