Browser script execution via crafted URI path
Published Mar 24, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected cross-site scripting in Bitweaver 3.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript via edit_personal_page.php. The endpoint returns a crafted trailing URI path containing HTML and script markup without neutralizing the executable content. The attacker needs administrative access, and a victim must load the crafted URL; execution occurs in the victim's Bitweaver origin and can expose session cookies or alter displayed content.
