Authenticated webshell upload via injectable rid parameter
Published Oct 11, 2021 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
SQL injection in rConfig 3.9.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute database queries through the web interface. The lib/ajaxHandlers/ajaxDownloadNow.php endpoint accepts the rid query parameter in a form that sqlmap can inject. Writing a remotely accessible webshell requires rConfig and MySQL to share a host and MySQL's --secure-file-priv restriction to be unset.
