Unauthenticated code execution via exeshell metacharacters
Published Apr 13, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
OS command injection in Genexis PLATINUM 4410 P4410-V2-1.28 firmware allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via HTTP. The sys_config_valid.xgi handler passes shell metacharacters supplied through the exeshell parameter into command execution without neutralization. An unauthenticated request can start services such as Telnet, granting control of the router with device-level consequences.
