Database disclosure via unsanitized email search parameter
Published Apr 1, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in FireEye eMPS 9.0.1.923211 on EX 3500 devices allows remote authenticated users to read database data via email search. The Central Management WebGUI passes the user-controlled job_id search parameter into PostgreSQL queries without sanitization, enabling boolean- and time-based blind extraction. A low-privileged monitor session is sufficient; queries run as the non-admin database user webui, and testing found only read access, not stacked-query writes.
