Prototype pollution in Adaltas mixme before 0.5.1 allows remote attackers to alter inherited object properties through crafted input. The mutate and merge functions recursively assign every enumerable source key into a target object without rejecting proto, which changes Object.prototype. Exploitation requires an application to pass attacker-controlled objects into either function; polluted properties then corrupt application state or interrupt the service.
