Unauthenticated device crash via missing login_name key
Published Aug 10, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Null pointer dereference in TRENDnet TEW-755AP, TEW-755AP2KAC, TEW-821DAP2KAC, and TEW-825DAP 1.11B03 allows remote attackers to crash devices. The apply_cgi handler invokes do_graph_auth for a crafted POST request and dereferences the missing login_name key, terminating service. No authentication or user interaction is required; the demonstrated consequence is an availability-only device crash, not code execution or data access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
