End-user compromise via persistent CSV injection
Published Apr 20, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
CSV injection in TIBCO Administrator 5.10.2 and earlier, 5.11.0, and 5.11.1 allows remote authenticated users to compromise end users. The Administration GUI fails to neutralize attacker-controlled spreadsheet formulas before persistent CSV output; TIBCO does not identify the field or export path. Exploitation requires low-privileged network access and another user's interaction with the generated CSV, enabling commands, malware, data theft, or forged output.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
