Authenticated arbitrary command execution
Published Jun 3, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
OS command injection in QNAP Video Station before 5.5.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands over the network. QNAP has not published the affected endpoint, input field, or operation that passes attacker-controlled data to a system command. Low-privileged authentication is required; successful exploitation executes commands with the Video Station service's privileges on the NAS.
