Code execution via out-of-bounds BMP parser write
Published Aug 24, 2021 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe Animate 21.0.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code after a user opens a malicious BMP file. The BMP parser fails to validate attacker-controlled data before writing past the end of an allocated data structure. Exploitation requires user interaction, and successful code runs with the privileges of the current Animate process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
