Code execution via out-of-bounds read
Published Aug 24, 2021 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Adobe Animate 21.0.6 and earlier allows attackers to execute code by inducing a user to open a malicious file. Animate reads beyond an allocated memory boundary while processing the file, but Adobe has not disclosed the affected parser, file format, or malformed field. Execution requires the current user to open the crafted file, and resulting code runs with that user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
