Memory disclosure via crafted file parsing
Published Aug 24, 2021 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Out-of-bounds Read in Adobe After Effects 18.2 and earlier allows attackers to disclose memory via a crafted file. The file parser reads beyond an allocated boundary while processing attacker-supplied content, exposing sensitive process memory and potentially interrupting the application. Exploitation requires a victim to open the malicious file, so the consequence is limited to the current user's process context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
