Memory disclosure and crash via crafted file parsing
Published Aug 24, 2021 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Adobe After Effects 18.2 and earlier allows attackers to disclose memory and crash the application via a crafted file. Adobe identifies the locus only as crafted-file parsing and has not disclosed the affected format, parser routine, or malformed field that triggers the over-read. A victim must open the malicious file; exploitation runs in that user's context and can expose sensitive process memory or interrupt the application.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
