Information disclosure via crafted-file out-of-bounds read
Published Jun 28, 2021 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Adobe Animate 21.0.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to disclose process memory through a crafted file. Animate's file parser reads beyond an allocated buffer while parsing the file; Adobe has not disclosed the affected format or parser routine. Exploitation requires a victim to open the malicious file, and the disclosure occurs in the context of that user's process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
