CVE-2021-28566Network attack vector

Admin-only document-root disclosure via modified PNG upload

Published Sep 8, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Information disclosure in Adobe Commerce 2.4.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to obtain the document-root path via a modified PNG. The product-image upload path processes the modified image and exposes the server's document-root path, but Adobe has not published the responsible function or code path. Administrative-console access is required, and the documented consequence is limited to revealing the filesystem path rather than file contents or modification.
