Certified-content spoofing via unchecked incremental updates
Published Apr 1, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Missing integrity validation in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 2020.013.20074 and earlier allows remote attackers to spoof certified PDF content. The certification validator accepts attacker-supplied incremental updates that overlay signature elements on protected content without warning. Exploitation requires a victim to open the tampered file; the 2020.001.30018 and 2017.011.30188 branches and earlier are also affected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
