Authentication bypass in affected Arista EOS releases allows remote attackers to factory-reset devices through certain gNOI APIs. The affected gNOI handlers omit both authentication and authorization before accepting factory-reset RPC requests. Network access to enabled gNOI without mutual TLS is sufficient; a successful request erases device state and forces a reboot.
