CVE-2021-28485Network attack vector

Authenticated file disclosure via relative path traversal

Published Sep 14, 2023 · Updated Sep 25, 2024

Path traversal in the SIS web application in Ericsson Mobile Switching Center Server before IS 3.1 CP22 allows remote authenticated users to read files. A specific HTTPS request parameter accepts relative path elements and resolves them outside the SIS web application's intended file scope. A valid authenticated session is required, and exposure is limited to unintended file reads with no reported write or service-interruption impact.
