CVE-2021-28372Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Credential theft via UID-only device registration

Published Aug 17, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Authentication bypass in ThroughTek Kalay P2P SDK allows remote attackers to capture device credentials by registering a known UID. The device registration process accepts only the 20-byte UID, so a duplicate registration overwrites the legitimate mapping and routes client connections to the attacker. A valid UID and a victim client connection are required; captured credentials permit remote access to device audio, video, and exposed RPC functions.
