Browser script execution via unencoded secret attributes
Published May 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Skoruba IdentityServer4.Admin before 2.0.0 allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted secret value. The ClientSecret and ApiResourceSecret views place stored secret values into the data-secret-value attribute without HTML encoding before using that attribute in the secret-detail dialog. Execution requires a user to open an affected secret view, after which the injected script runs in that user's browser and can read or alter data available to the application origin.
