Local privilege escalation via runpicEhealth script execution
Published Mar 26, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Local privilege escalation in CA eHealth Performance Manager 6.3.2.12 and earlier allows local users to execute code as the ehealth user. The setuid/setgid /prods/smile/bin/runpicEhealth executable accepts a component path as an argument and runs the referenced script after switching to ehealth. A local account that can write a subdirectory under /opt can read, write, start, or stop application files and processes with ehealth privileges.
